Music as a Complementary Subject

Music may be selected as a complementary subject in the following degree programs:

  • Bachelor’s in Journalism
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science
  • Bachelor’s in Applied Literary and Cultural Studies
  • Bachelor’s in Applied Linguistics
  • Bachelor’s in Sociology

Instead of an aptitude test, students who wish to take music as a complementary subject within one of the above-mentioned degree programs must complete an aptitude interview. This interview always takes place shortly before the start of the lecture period.

Some interviews for the 2024–25 winter semester have already taken place, but appointments can still be scheduled for the first week of classes (Oct. 7–11). Please contact Bileam Kümper as early as possible to schedule an appointment.

For more detailed information on the requirements and procedure for this interview, as well as further information on the minor in music, please contact Clara Hütterott.
