Research Focus Areas
Current research focuses include cooperative learning formats in music education, music creation in schools, interdisciplinary instruction, and group instrumental instruction. A particular focus within music education research using empirical methods is on video-based approaches to music-related teaching and learning processes. DEGREE 5.0 – Digital Reflective Teacher Education 5.0: video-based – accessible – networked; in cooperation with the departments of mathematics, computer science, German language education, and rehabilitation sciences at TU Dortmund University and the department of Educational Sciences at the University of Duisburg-Essen; project lead for the music subproject (BMBF 2022–2025)
