Research Projects

Lullabyte
The MSCA doctoral network Lullabyte investigates the effects of music on the brain during the process of falling asleep and during sleep. Ten doctoral students from across Europa are collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team spanning the fields of musicology, neuroscience, sleep research, computer science, and psychology. The focus is on an empirical research approach.
The doctoral network is funded by the European Union as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions program.
Berlin schläft ein
Berlin schläft ein (“Berlin Falls Asleep”) is an artistic and cultural experiment organized by the State Music Council. As part of this initiative, lullabies are collected, archived, and made available to the public. The goal is to promote singing within families and to preserve cultural heritage. The collection of lullabies is maintained by the Endangered Languages Archive at the Brandenburg Academy of Sciences.
